Even though Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 is supposed to support AVCHD videos, there are still many problems importing Canon AVCHD camera videos to Sony Vegas. The release of Sony Vegas 9.0 in 2009 improved native support for pro camcorder formats like Red and XDCAM EX. Even with the latest update for Sony Vegas 9.0e on May 13, 2010, it is not stable with AVHCD .mts/.m2ts videos after the files are transferred to computer via USB 2.0.

I transferred the .mts videos from my Canon Legria HF200 HD camcorder, and want to edit on Sony Vegas, but it did not work.
